The End of Evangelion - Love is Destructive
I don't know if it's just because I didn't watch the first season of Euphoria live, but I feel like people are being extremely hard on Cassie for what she did in the new ep and like... really? Like, don't get me wrong, she fucked up big time, but this is basically the first time we've seen her character do ANYTHING that hurts anyone besides herself.
I keep seeing stuff from people talking about how Maddy needs to "put her in her place" and shit and like, has Maddy been a great friend to Cassie? I remember last season when she told her if she ever repeated what Maddy told her at the carnival she'd "fucking come for [her]." And obviously Maddy was at a real low point when she said that, but that's the point-- so is Cassie now.
I'm not excusing Cassie's actions (though honestly this whole Cassie x Nate plot is total bullshit to begin with imo), but she's young, has virtually no self esteem, knows only toxic relationships and being exploited, and was on top of all that really wasted. Obviously it was a bad action, but the way people are coming down on her and wanting to see her punished for this downward spiral when up to this point she's been one of the sweetest people in the show just doesn't sit right with me

Okay I donβt want to hear a single person ever say again that having representation is too much on a TV show or not realistic because heartbreak high had autistic representation, lesbian representation, οΏΌ non-binary representation, asexual representation, Aboriginal representation, and Asian representation all in one show and not for one fucking second did I think this is unrealistic, especially in a Sydney based school. That is exactly what kids are like and is exactly what real life is like!!!!!
no bc i cannot believe this happened holy shit
