Eve blushed at the gesture as it was in the least expected of places...in the midst of a fight against what felt to be this week's Alien of the Week. She actually was not even sure if what they were fighting was an alien, or some meta human, or something some scientist had created. She arrived to the fight late and missed the monologue and backstory.

Here they were against some tentacle monster, and her attention was briefly stolen by Mark's sweet gesture. Right when Eve went to return the gesture, the being took the opportunity to catch her off guard and knocked her out.
