Last post im making about this. this shit is tiring to see "aventurine isn't a real romani person, we dont know for sure if thats what hoyoverse intended! how could they have known that a well known slur is actually a slur? this is fiction, dont get upset by fiction. he ain't real a real person anyways, so what hoyo is doing doesn't hurt anyone. touch grass" yes, its a fictional story in hsr, and yes aventurine isn't a real person - no ones saying he is real or is actually romani (ive seen some claim that 2nd one but thats probs just their own headcanons, its not smth ive seen more then like 2 people admit to believing). but he is Clearly a Stand-in for such peoples. please actually read for once in your lives, and don't cherry pick/skim: the word itself Isn't fictional, the name of his planet/people is a literal irl slur against romani people, easy to find from a quick google search. and the genoside aventurine's people face is similar to the ones the romani went through. even if he "wasn't intended" to be a "1 to 1" rep for romani, you CAN'T deny that hoyo knew what they were doing. no way they didnt know the name they used as a slur when trying to find words for their oppressed/enslaved race with stuff like that. that info ain't hidden or some sort of new thing - its been going on and being recorded for a VERY long time. and even IF they weren't aware of that words' negative origins, they should still be held accountable. their an extremely rich company, and thus have all sorts of resources - we know they have internet access, not like any of the writers couldn't have fact checked. they just didn't want to, because they don't care. hoyoverse ain't gonna fuck you/praise you for defending them, companys don't care about or understand fandom/their customers. aventurine's story was written well, and hell - i even almost cried at some parts and had a lot of fun, but the usage of the slur and making it the most prominent word in that story arc/the most important part of avenrturines life even now that he's free (i.e.: sparkle using the slur at him casually without repercussions while she knew his past), was not good and isn't justifiable. y'all send death threats and drive random people off of the platform for minor stuff when they are just young and aspiring creators & thus of course make mistakes when making their own stories and accidentally making them parallel closely to irl history, but y'all are willing to excuse a well established company (who have a history of white-ifying poc cultures for "the aesthetic" and "good banner sales" with nations and characters and have publicly admitted it without shame), with many writers/developers who are full grown adults when they do the exact same thing - or even worse - with evidence to back up that they arent innocent uwu babies who "just didn't know any better"? give me a fucking break.

"cherry picking" isn't an excuse. sumeru was nearly completely whiteified despite being based on poc cultures, with the only poc npcs being 1 blacksmith, all erimite enemies you have to KIll for missions, the story quest, and white character level up materals. they also only have 2 characters whos skintones aren't quarts, and one isn't even out yet/is quite late to the sumeru story as a whole. hell, they even very shamelessly lighten the skin of their dark characters in official art, even when theres no excusable "light source" to pin blame on. theres a reason why people are upset. it was something many poc fans picked up on rather fast as soon as that word showed up on screen. i know that 98% of the fanbase is white, probably all the people who will ever see this post are some sort of white (i know for a fact the only people ive seen make posts on this topic trying to defense the slur's usage in universe admited to be white at the top of their rants. legit a "im white, but-" nonstop.) but that doesn't mean anything if the majority is shortsighted and shitty. majoriy isn't always right. just cuz your white, thats no excuse to be ignorant and refuse to take 5 seconds to google search something in order to understand the context behind such social outcry. people who are defending shit like this make me shamed to be white (well, many things do that - but not the point here).
i know for a fact hoyoverse will never change this, its making them money and giving them attention - so why would they ?(any publicity is seen as "good" publicity by many businesses), and will probs keep doing stuff like this from other cultures. something i came to terms with, but just because ive accepted that reality - that doesn't mean im gonna be happy about it, or praise it like some supremacist dipshits are doing (luckily their few, but they still exist and that's an issue). im not gonna shame anyone who likes hoyo's games, as i myself am a fan of hsr and used to be super huge into genshin, but you shouldn't defend a money hungry corporation who will disregard you at every turn with no remorse.

I've witnessed the evidence of the tragedy that has struck our lives in Gaza, where my family and I have survived amidst numerous previous wars. Our home was surrounded, burned, and then completely destroyed, Our home, once a fortress of hope, now lay in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dreams.
The night before we left from the north to the south was terrifying. Shelling sounds were everywhere, making a loud noise that felt like it went through our souls. Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear. The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. When dawn came, we saw the devastation around us, realizing our home was now a symbol of loss and despair.
We ran into the streets and with each step we took into the unknown streets, we felt as if we were plunging deeper into the abyss of our shattered existence, leaving behind everything we own in our home: Clothes, important official documents, the car, and literally it's almost everything - the enormity of our loss weighed heavily upon us.
Our home it was where we found hope, safety, and made precious memories. Losing it felt like losing years of our lives, leaving us adrift amidst the wreckage of our shattered existence.

Desperate Plea: Escaping Gaza's Allergy Nightmare
I, Haya, suffer from severe allergy to penicillin-derived medications, and my sister, Amal, also suffers from severe allergies to medications from my family such as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.

We all feel psychological pressure and extreme anxiety. The war hasn't been limited to external attacks but has deeply infiltrated our daily lives. We search among the rubble for a little safety and the basic resources for survival. Every day comes with a new challenge that we must overcome.
As we sway amidst the rubble of shattered dreams, our souls wrestle and our hearts beat strongly challenging the ravages of war.
Our parents earnestly seek a way to rescue us from this hell, feeling the heavy responsibility for every moment we spend under the shadows of fear and destruction. They dream of a safe place where they can build for us a better future, filled with security and hope, for we deserve life in all its meanings of comfort and peace.
Perhaps this fundraising campaign represents a light in the midst of darkness, it is indeed the only hope we cling to firmly.

I wanted to write something on this piece to give it more context, but any text seemed out of place here.

Why i think natlan's modern aspects does not make sense and cannot be compared with fontaine nor sumeru
with the release of natlan we can already see that many of the designs lack cultural representation at the same time that inacuratly portrays the characters actual cultures. But a topic that i saw many people discuss in their socials is how modern the natlan designs look compared to other regions such as fontaine and sumeru, saying thing about xilonen's dj set, kinich videogames references, ororon ripped jeans, etc..., some people tend to ind that claim quite nonsensical saying stuff like "sumeru has bluetooth" or "fontaine has robots everywhere", although those claims are in fact true i think that those cannot be compared together since they both have very different intention when wanting to put technology into a fantasy setting.
Let's start with sumeru "bluetooth". If you dont know what their reering to its the akasha system, wich according to genshin archon quest are explained to be a device that allows the people connected to the akasha terminal to grant them any sort of knowledge they desire to have, as long as they have the required credentials. The reason why it can do this is because of sumeru's lore that states that the akashas were developed by greater lord rukkhadevata by using her gnosis and expanded on by sumeru akademiya after her death while also beign powered by the dendro's archon gnosis. In relate to it, fontaine robots also have a cohesive explanation for their existence being powered not by electricity but by the arkhe system, hence magic, not to mention the act that fontaine overall asthetic is a variaton of the steampunk asthetic wich is described as "a genre of science fiction that has a historical setting and typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology", wich means that ontaine futuristic thematic is not modern futurism but an antique variation of it, this makes or a great way to incorporate technology while still keeping the mediaval setting. The difference between these two examples of tech being incorporated in a fantasy setting is that the akasha terminals and fontaine mekhas actually have a cohesive explanation for why they exist, beign powered by magic instead of actual tech, it actually is written in a way where it makes sense for said modern stuff be put into a fantasy setting. Meanwhile natlan doesnt have an explanation for why they have dj tables and other kind of modern stuff like led tvs, colored spotlight and raves (xilonen's demo).
The reason why i think genshin wanted to give natlan such modern archetypes is because they were already beign flamed as racist for making such atrocious design and skin color representation, so to not fall under the steryotype of tribal people beign so far in technology they decided to go the "give them ripped jeans and motorcyclers type of clothes" wich actually makes the more racist for choosing to represent modern cultures instead of actually representing the cultures and people natlan is based on. That could also be why the character designs look they are not from genshin and why recent characters are so strong compared to older ones cause hoyo knows they dont have to try anymore and as long as a character is meta or better then certain support or dps people will roll and will whale for their c6 r5.

No doubt the struggle for liberation and against settler colonialism will continue until all the contradictions are resolved just as it were it rhodesia and south africa.

So… I do believe he’s an Emanator of Aha! There’s proof of it too! So as some of you know Sampo doesn’t get a rating from the rating gun Herta has! Acheron and Jing Yuan don’t get one either and they’re Emanator's! The only thing to disprove this gun being able to spot Emanator's is the fact that Herta gets 4 points! In some leaks someone shared, Aha gets 6 lines in game… I feel like those lines could be long lines to confirm if sampo is an emanator or not! Yet something else I’ve noticed is that Sparkle when added into a team with sampo calls him The Fool. I think this could be a code name for emanator!
