It took me a few days to find time to write this, but here it is: đ : surprise kiss / impulsive kiss for winterhawk
Clint was panting heavily, dodging a hit, and going over to the next attack in one fluid movement. It was good to train, even in the summer heat. The burning in his muscles was good compared to lying crammed into vents on endless stakeouts, like he had spent most of the last two weeks. He didn't know how long they had been going; he had noticed that the others had left at some point. But just like him, Bucky seemed like he had no intention to stop any time soon. At some point between the shooting range and the climbing part, the soldier had lost his shirt, his strong body shining with sweat, but his smile proved that he enjoyed it just as much. Clint had taken longer, but once they had started sparring, the insecurity about his scars could no longer win over the heat. They had sparred before; usually Bucky managed to bring Clint to the ground, the sheer power of his enhanced body and the metal arm winning, even over Clint's flexibility and almost a lifetime of training. But today, they were almost even. Clint's motivation and focus were on point, and for once, he didn't have any injuries he had to be mindful of. So, after a long match, he finally managed to surprise Bucky, throwing him into the mat and leaning over him triumphantly. Bucky was lying on his back, catching his breath and smirking. Clint couldn't resist; he had to kiss him for that. He had been pining over this man for way too long to not give in when the opportunity was right there. For a second, nothing happened. Clint's lips were touching Bucky's, but the soldier wasn't reacting. Then Bucky turned them over in one fluid movement, gaining control as Clint lowered his guard. Now he was looking down at the archer, and Clint was ready to wriggle out from under him and run. But instead of anger or rage, there was a sparkle of desire in Bucky's eyes, and he smirked again. "You could have just said something, doll." He breathed before crashing their mouths together in a long and heated kiss.

Clint's chin is resting on his palm, which is proper on the counter, and he's watching the coffee percolate. He feels movement behind him--the shifting vibration of steps on old wooden floorboards, each step a little thump of soundless noise. He doesn't have his ears in, because he doesn't put his ears in before coffee, but he likes that he can still feel it when Bucky gets in from his morning run.
The kiss that presses to his cheek makes him squeak, shocked not by the action but the cold of Bucky's lips.
Autumn comes later ever year it seems, but the cold front sets in just as quick as always.
Bucky presses a second kiss to Clint's shoulder, still a little cold through the fabric of his shirt but not as much as skin on skin. A wordless apology.
"Love you," Clint mumbles, and feels the way the fabric of his shirt shifts when Becky's smile jostles it.
Bucky pours them both coffee, throws on an old purple hoodie of Clint's so his cold metal arm won't brush Clint and startle him all over again, and they settle in on the couch to drink their coffee together.
Clint never thought he could be this happy. Clint never thought he would feel this loved, especially in this way. But he is.
He presses a kiss to the corner of Bucky's jaw, coffee warm lips on warming skin and scruff, and says it one more time just because he likes to say it: "love you."
Bucky smiles like a sunrise and signs back, love you (too).

This is hard to answer.
Obviously there is a lot of love and work in my long term projects (Building a Relationship, The sound and the colors of Leaves) and I keep going back, rereading portions and working on them.
I have some where I really liked the outcome, but still think I could have come up with a better/less rushed ending or something. It's almost always the ending I'm not happy with.
I like The quiet life a lot, especially the domestic scenes with the kids. And I keep coming back to that one (and the unofficial first part The Countryside is quiet) and think it deserves another part.
And otherwise it really changes with my mood which one I like most in that moment, so I can't pick *the* favorite. But Quiet Life is definitely up there.

I knit a lot (mostly socks), but in summer I usually hit a slump and start a thousand WIPs without finishing any

I found a lot of "looking up" and "looking at" But no looking after...
Do you take this three sentences that feature the word "look" three times, including "looking forward"?
He looked at the piece of pastry in his hand. It looked delicious, filled with hazelnut cream and decorated with mini marshmallows. Clint had been looking forward to it since he had finished his last mission in the early hours of the morning.
Honestly as a blind person Iâm so tired of seeing fictional blind characters who donât use white canes or other guides. âThey have special powers so they know whatâs around themâ or âtheyâre confident enough to not need a guideâ are common tropes, and Iâm tired.
Are people scared that using a white cane will make their blind character seem weak? They canât use a cane because theyâre so special that they already know whatâs around them, and other blind people who use guides are inferior because theyâre not special?
Iâm tired. Give your blind characters white canes and other guides. Let them hold onto their friends, let them have guide dogs. Donât make white cane users feel ostracized for not being âstrong enoughâ to go without.
Another thing that pisses me off is when a sighted character comes up with the fantasy equivalent of braille and teaches it to the blind character. Braille was invented by Louis Braille, a blind man, in 1824. The blind character should be the one coming up with it.

Stucky AU: Spa Day

Steve was given a gift certificate for a spa day by Sam and Natasha (they regularly told him off for being a workaholic). It sat in a drawer, forgotten, until he had a particularly long week and decided to finally cash it in.
There he met Bucky, one of the massage therapists. Steve became a regular at the spa and would always request him.
Those around Steve started to notice how much happier he was and that he was taking better care of himself, not overworking so much. His friends gift had worked just not in the way they anticipated. It wasnât because of his spa visits or even the massages he received.
It was getting to see Bucky.
Bucky looked forward to their sessions too and he couldnât help feeling a little smug and proud that he could always feel Steveâs stress melt away under his fingertips.
And maybe it had something to do with how his heart pitter-pattered whenever he saw him.
